Wahid bin Ahsan

Wahid bin Ahsan is an applied researcher specializing in qualitative research and UX research, based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His work examines how people understand, use, and navigate products, services, and support systems, and how social and institutional conditions shape their experiences. Accessibility and digital inclusion are recurring areas of his work.

His research spans technology use, education, financial services, and public and social services. He uses qualitative methods and qualitative-led mixed-methods designs. At Userhub, he leads commissioned and applied research engagements, covering research design, field inquiry, analysis and synthesis, and the translation of findings into practical guidance for organizations and research partners.

His publications include qualitative studies of adolescent mobile-media use in Mobile Media & Communication and domestic violence support pathways in Asian Social Work and Policy Review. His commissioned research experience includes leading Userhub’s Wikifunctions usability study, commissioned by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Wahid has more than two decades of professional experience in User Experience (UX) and Human-Centered Design (HCD). His technology-related research draws on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), including work on usability, accessibility, and human–AI interaction.

He developed the SEED Framework and the EDIT UX Framework. Alongside research and consulting, he teaches and mentors professionals and learners in UX research, Human-Centered Design, usability, accessibility, and research methods.
