These standards apply to manuscripts submitted to, and articles published in, Userhub Journal. How manuscripts are assessed, including the handling of conflicts of interest, is set out in the Editorial Review policy.

1. Authorship

  • Authors are those who made a substantial contribution to both the research and the manuscript. Other contributors are acknowledged.
  • All authors approve the final version before publication.

2. Originality and Research Integrity

  • Manuscripts must be original, not previously published, and not under consideration elsewhere. Posting a preprint does not count as prior publication.
  • Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and redundant publication are grounds for rejection or, after publication, for correction or retraction.

3. Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or non-financial interests that could influence the research or its reporting.

4. Research Involving Human Participants

  • Manuscripts must state how informed consent was obtained and whether ethics approval was obtained. Where approval was obtained, the statement names the approving committee, the reference number, and the approval date. Where it was not, the statement says so and describes the safeguards applied.
  • Personal and sensitive data must be anonymized or otherwise protected.

5. Use of Generative AI

Authors may use generative AI tools. Use in handling research data, such as transcription, translation, coding, or analysis, must be described in the methods section. AI must not be used to create or alter research data. Authors remain responsible for the accuracy of all content, including findings and references, and AI tools cannot be listed as authors.

The Journal may use AI tools to support editorial checks. Editorial decisions are not delegated to AI tools.

6. Corrections and Retractions

  • Errors that affect the accuracy of a published article are corrected through a dated correction notice on the article.
  • Where findings are unreliable or misconduct is established, an article may be retracted or an expression of concern may be published.

7. Concerns and Appeals

Authors and readers may raise concerns, request corrections, or appeal an editorial decision by writing to journal@userhub.com.bd.
