Userhub Journal is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal publishing interdisciplinary and applied research in user experience (UX), human-centered design (HCD), digital accessibility, ICT for Development (ICT4D), and inclusive innovation. The journal prioritizes work that addresses real-world challenges, contributes to design equity, and engages underrepresented or resource-constrained communities.
Most contributions emerge from supervised research programs, collaborative field projects, and invited partnerships involving academic researchers, design practitioners, public-interest technologists, and cross-sector teams. The journal publishes empirical studies, case-based analyses, conceptual frameworks, integrative reviews, and methodological contributions.
1. Scope of Submissions
Submissions should align with the journal’s focus on ethical, inclusive, and context-aware design practice. Applied research that bridges theory and implementation is central to the journal’s mission. Priority is given to work that demonstrates methodological rigor, contextual relevance, and public-interest impact, including contributions that advance frameworks, models, or cumulative understanding within UX and HCD.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be written in English and typically range from 2,500 to 6,000 words (excluding references). Submissions must include a clear and descriptive title, an abstract of 120–200 words, and 4 to 10 keywords. All references should follow APA (7th edition) citation style. Documents may be submitted in Google Docs or Microsoft Word format.
By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that the work is original, has not been published elsewhere, and is not under consideration by another journal.
3. Review and Editorial Process
All submissions undergo a two-stage editorial evaluation process. An initial screening assesses thematic relevance, ethical compliance, and clarity. Manuscripts that pass this stage proceed to double-blind peer review by subject-relevant reviewers.
Editorial decisions are based on scholarly merit, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and contribution to applied UX and HCD knowledge. Authors are typically notified of a decision within two to three weeks. Decisions may include acceptance, revision, or rejection with feedback. The journal follows COPE-aligned ethical review practices, with procedures in place to manage conflicts of interest.
4. Open Access and Licensing
Userhub Journal operates under a diamond open access model. There are no submission, review, or publication charges for authors. All published articles are made freely available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain full copyright, and each article is assigned a Crossref DOI to support citation and long-term access.
5. Submission Process
Manuscripts should be submitted by email to journal@userhub.com.bd. Submissions must include the full names and institutional affiliations of all contributing authors, contact details for the corresponding author, and any relevant disclosures such as ethics approval, funding sources, or conflicts of interest.
