Content Writing Instructor, Digital Content and AI-Assisted Writing
Userhub Institute is seeking a Content Writing Instructor to support live online teaching in digital content, SEO-aware writing, UX writing, editing, and responsible AI-assisted writing workflows.
Opportunity record
Userhub Institute is expanding its live online teaching capacity in digital content writing. We are looking for an instructor who can help learners develop practical writing skills for websites, articles, social media, UX writing, and professional digital communication.
The role is suitable for someone who can teach writing as a structured practice involving audience understanding, clarity, content purpose, platform fit, editing, and revision. The instructor should also be able to demonstrate how AI tools can support outlining, drafting, rewriting, and critique without replacing human writing judgment, originality, or editorial responsibility.
Teaching focus
- Digital content writing for websites, articles, social media, and professional communication.
- Audience analysis, user intent, content purpose, tone, structure, and readability.
- SEO-aware writing, including titles, headings, meta descriptions, excerpts, and search intent.
- UX writing and microcopy basics for buttons, forms, error messages, onboarding, and confirmation messages.
- Editing, rewriting, proofreading, and improving clarity, flow, specificity, and usefulness.
- Responsible AI-assisted writing workflows for ideation, outlining, drafting, rewriting, and critique.
- Portfolio-oriented writing samples and revision-based improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver assigned live online classes within a Userhub-designed learning structure.
- Use provided session briefs and learning outcomes to prepare class delivery.
- Demonstrate writing, editing, and AI-assisted workflow through practical examples.
- Review learner assignments and provide clear, actionable feedback.
- Help learners improve selected writing samples for portfolio presentation.
- Submit short post-session notes covering topics taught, learner questions, assignments, and issues that need follow-up.
Required profile
- Practical experience in content writing, digital writing, copywriting, editing, communication, journalism, content strategy, or related work.
- Ability to teach writing structure, clarity, tone, readability, and revision to beginner and early-stage learners.
- Understanding of web content, article writing, social media content, and SEO-aware writing.
- Ability to demonstrate responsible use of AI tools in the writing and editing process.
Preferred profile
- Prior teaching, mentoring, workshop, newsroom, agency, communication, publishing, marketing, or institutional content experience.
- Experience reviewing learner work, junior writer work, editorial drafts, or portfolio writing samples.
- Familiarity with UX writing, microcopy, content strategy, SEO, or digital product communication.
What this role is not
This is not a generic creative writing, motivational writing, or AI prompt-generation role. The instructor must be able to teach practical digital content writing as a structured discipline involving clarity, usefulness, audience fit, editing, platform awareness, and responsible source use.
Engagement model
This is a part-time, online live teaching opportunity. Userhub will provide the learning structure, session expectations, learner communication channel, and quality-control process. Initial engagement may begin with a short pilot block before confirmation for a full delivery cycle.
Application requirements
Applicants should submit a short expression of interest, relevant writing samples or portfolio links, and any available teaching, mentoring, editing, or workshop evidence.
The expression of interest should briefly answer: how would you teach digital content writing to someone who can write basic English but has never written professionally for digital platforms?
Applicants may also include examples of how they use AI tools in their writing, editing, or content development workflow. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to conduct a brief live teaching demonstration.
