The largest mobile apps development contest of Bangladesh “EATL-Prothom Alo Apps Contest – 2015” was officially launched for the third time. The launching ceremony was held on 14th September, 2014 at Hotel Sonargoan, Dhaka. Mr. Nurul Islam Nahid, Honorable education minister of the Government of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh joined the occasion as Chief Guest. “This contest will open the horizon of hope to the young generation of the country and it will create employment opportunities and finally innovative ideas will contribute in the development of the socio-economic sectors of the country.” – stated Education Minister. This is the largest mobile apps development contest in Bangladesh mainly focused on innovative ideas. It is a Nine Month Youth Engagement program. The top 3 teams will have to prove their competency in different levels of app development throughout the competition who will be awarded BDT 10 lac, BDT 5 lac and BDT 2 lac, respectively. Top 10 teams will be awarded smartphones along with job opportunities in EATL.
